We are seeking a servant leader with a strong aptitude for Agile product development to join the rapidly growing Lokavant team as Scrum Master. The Scrum Master will work very closely with our Product, Engineering, Data Science, Quality, and Customer Success teams, helping to shape and manage our Agile development practices as we scale the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (i.e. planning, review, retrospective, standups)
  • Support multiple Agile development teams
  • Mentor teams on good Agile/Scrum practices (e.g. user story writing, backlog grooming, definition of done, story point estimation)
  • Improve team performance by identifying, managing, and eliminating team impediments
  • Foster team self-organization and ownership of complex problems
  • Identify cross-team dependencies and work with product owners to address them
  • Mentor team on proper use of JIRA by all team members
  • Improve process and drive positive change (I.e., change management)
  • Facilitate release planning and estimation

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master working with dedicated Agile development teams
  • Solid understanding and experience with software development and product development lifecycle
  • Accredited Scrum and/or Agile certifications (e.g. CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP, IAPM, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency with Jira
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized, with effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to learn quickly and autonomously
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Superior problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
  • Sincere interest in working at a rapidly changing start-up and scaling with the company as we grow
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance

Preferred (Nice-to-have) Qualifications

  • Experience in the development of 21 CFR Part 11 validated software
  • Experience in the life sciences industry, ideally in clinical development
  • Experience with healthcare data, ideally clinical/operational clinical trial data
  • Knowledge of e-clinical systems and technologies (e.g. EDC, CTMS, IRT, etc.)
