Role overview

We're looking for a full-time Software Engineer (Full Stack - UI/UX) to join our team of 5.

As one of our first few engineering hires, you'll be an essential part of the company's growth (and will be compensated with salary + equity). You will be shipping code everyday to a rapidly growing customer base.

We're looking for someone

1. Who's enthusiastic about our product: We want want you to love this product as much as we do and bring that enthusiasm to your work and ideas.
2. Who can get things done: We care about high-quality code but not if that involves sacrificing speed. Code that works well enough and is maintainable is more important than it working perfectly. We've used weekly sprints to plan our work so the environment is pretty fast-paced.

3. With prior software engineering experience:

   1. Full stack experience is preferred, as you'll be writing scalable and maintainable components in VueJS, & Nuxt codebase from the get-go.
   2. Able to work with or willing to learn a bit of back-end systems and SQL. Some back-end experience or working knowledge is preferred. (We use Go, Google Cloud Platform, Postgres)
   3. You've built, launched and maintained customer-facing API products, as well as developing integrations with third party SSO/Oauth applications (Google, Apple)
   4. Ideally, you'll have worked at a high growth startup before and understand the release cadence needed to succeed.
4. With an eye for design: There's a lot of talk about 'designers who can code' yet surprisingly little about 'coders who can design'. Whilst you won't need to design anything per se, you'll need to be able to critique designs and be able to use your design instinct for edge cases.

You'll walk in at Paperchain and immediately start contributing to three key deliverables:

• OAuth API integrations to make it easier for our customers to connect their data
• UI/UX updates to our web app
• Paperchain mobile app
