Independent Natural Food Retailers Association (INFRA) is growing and seeking a SharePoint Developer for our team! In this newly created position, you will work with a team of user-focused professionals who are committed to enhancing collaboration by defining technical strategy, architecting, designing, and delivering end-to-end digital transformation (small and large). You’ll demonstrate technical competence and business acumen by engaging in technology decision-making discussions related to M365/SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, and Teams. You will contribute to our team’s expertise as we employ Microsoft Technologies to create a more personal, integrated user experience.

What you will own and improve:

  • Software development expertise on agile team

    • Consult on product vision and timeline
    • Partner to outline deliverables and scope
    • Contribute to prioritization and capacity assessments via backlog refinement
    • Create user stories
    • Stay current on M365/SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, and Teams news and enhancements
  • Create User Interface Applications

    • Build scalable and secure applications
    • Include UI/UX considerations as an integral part of the development process, creating solutions that are balanced and strong in both form and function
    • Implement, deploy, package, and maintain new modern SharePoint intranet portal for collaboration and communication
    • Build new landing page, department templates/pages, newsletter, banner and videos accessible to any device
    • Create web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, and data management
    • Implement workflows using SharePoint Designer and PowerApps/Flow
    • Use SharePoint Framework SPx to create website designs with OOTB, UI extension, page layouts, themes, and display templates
  • Write and Modify Code

    • Write and modify code to build applications and sites based on user/organizational needs and requirements. Provide ongoing support and maintenance.
    • Code pages using HTML5, JavaScript, and Typescript, jQuery, CSS, SQL, Bootstrap or responsive design for all devices
    • Migrate data to SharePoint Online
  • Solve Technical Issues, test software, debug and iterate

    • Test software and ensure that code runs properly
    • Using source debuggers and visual development environments, debug software applications to ensure that everything works as it should
    • Work with users to resolve any technical issues they may have and create enhancements that will better serve their needs
  • Train and partner with team and users

    • Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment. A spirit of creativity and flexibility required.
    • Build beta examples or graphical simulation software. Maintain product test software and demos for training purposes.
    • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code

What you already know:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent training + additional 1-2 years work experience
  • Must have a solid programming background authoring well written, well documented, modular and clean code
  • 1+ years of experience in modern SharePoint/Office 365 architecture, security, and best practices
  • Additional development experience preferred in .NET Framework and/or front-end development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, or React
  • Experience with canvas apps, PowerApps, Flow, Logic Apps, Microsoft Graph, REST, and other APIs
  • Skillful eye for UI/UX, including balanced form/function skills within development process. Understanding of design thinking preferred.
  • Familiarity with migration to SharePoint
  • Ability to establish great working partnerships and communicate effectively with any audience
  • Detail orientation and organization with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure without compromising quality
  • Proactive, iterative mindset with high value on continual improvement

*Travel up to 5% is required for this position, when deemed safe due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

*This role is remote during the COVID-19 pandemic. Preference for future location in our St. Paul, MN office. Remote eligible. If remote, home office must be within the contiguous 48 states and located within 100 miles of a major airport.
