JOB DESCRIPTION

Mid-level technical support position at a small art technology company. (A woman owned company!) We mostly work remotely from home and provide FileMaker-based software database solutions to art businesses. Our clients include many of the most respected art galleries, artists, museums, art collections and foundations in the world. We support all of our clients remotely and make occasional onsite gallery visits in New York City. This position will support our clients; install, troubleshoot and customize software; transfer existing data into our products and provide general customer service. This position will also provide a communication bridge from clients to developers. We are a close knit team with a warm and friendly company culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving customer technical support issues along with our support team
  • Interfacing with client via phone, email and remote access software
  • Implementing upgrades and data transfers
  • Customizing FileMaker scripts and layouts to meet clients' needs
  • Problem solving
  • Providing training and guidance to clients
  • Project management & communication with development team
  • General support duties, including but not limited to: tracking client licensing, AWS cloud management, API troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • FileMaker development experience required
  • JSON/SQL experience
  • Database architecture experience
  • API experience a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience working in a team / highly collaborative
  • Apple OS and iOS fluency
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Good organizational skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Desire to learn
  • Unlimited patience with clients
  • Residency in New York City area is a plus but not a requirement.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

You will first email with the CEO, Tanya. If approved, you will have a Zoom interview with Tanya. If approved you will have a Zoom meeting with our COO, Joan and our CTO, Adam. Decisions will probably be made at that time, or possible further interviews.
