Fresno Housing is looking for an Information Technology and Systems Manager to join our team!

This position is open due to a recent promotion in the department to a newly created senior leadership position in the Agency. The successful candidate in the IT/IS Manager role would oversee our Information Systems team that consists of 4 employees that primarily work on our Yardi (enterprise management software primarily for property management/financials) system, in addition would oversee our Information Technology team that consists of 3 employees (2 Systems Administrators and 1 IT Helpdesk Coordinator) that handle all of our hardware, operating systems, networks and other general IT responsibilities.

Sample of duties:

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of ITS staff, including but not limited to: managing the work and priorities of staff, their technical and functional development, and overall performance.

  • Manages full life cycle of ITS projects, including but not limited to: creating project scopes, work plans, task assignments, project communications, implementation, production turnover, project performance analysis and post-implementation support; follows a defined, agreed upon project management methodology.

  • Works in close collaboration with other departments to support ITS strategic goals; ensures that assigned ITS initiatives are completed within projected timeframes and budget.

  • Supervises the day-to-day software application, reporting, and database operations of the Agency. Including but not limited to: support, enhancements, user acceptance and support.

  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure short-term data needs are met and requests are being fulfilled in a timely manner; proactively seeks out opportunities to provide useful data metrics to department leaders.

This position works out of our Central Office in thriving downtown Fresno supervising a team that provides services to sites all over Fresno City and County.

Qualificaitons

The ideal candidate for the position would have experience providing IT/IS support for 200+ users spread out among a variety of locations, experience supervising a similarly sized team, strong project management experience as well as a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.

Additional Qualifications

Four (4) years directly related Information Technology and Systems experience with two (2) years in a supervisory capacity. SQL knowledge is required. PMP certification highly desired. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in computer sciences or related field from four-year college or university highly desired.
