JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will partner with our customers, who are  working on their own efforts to revolutionize healthcare, to fully leverage the Particle Health platform. You will have the opportunity to move between implementation projects often, taking learnings and custom tooling to improve outcomes and velocity.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Analyze and decompose our customers’ complex software systems and collaborate to influence design for velocity and testability
  • Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around the health data interoperability space
  • Design and build advanced automated build, test, and release infrastructure across a wide assortment of environments
  • Drive adoption of our best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability for our customers.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, healthtech customers preferred
  • Experience in any of the following programming languages: Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Go

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with health data formats like HL7 V2, CDA, FHIR
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems 
  • Advanced degree or certification in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience in debugging, performance improvement, optimization, and refactoring code
  • Experience in one or more of the following: automation, refactoring code, test-driven development, build infrastructure, optimizing software, debugging, building tools
  • Experience building internal tools from scratch
  • Interest in reducing bottlenecks and streamlining processes
