We also believe people do their best work where they feel most comfortable so the work location of this position is flexible. However, the position may not be performed remotely from Colorado, California, Florida, Connecticut, or Washington and the candidate must be eligible to work inside the United States.

We’re looking for someone that can bring in a broad range of knowledge to help us grow our IT department. We’re a growing company, and as we expand, our team needs access to more IT services. We currently operate at about 100% fully remote, so you should be comfortable working in a home office. A company-issued laptop will be provided, as well as any additional accessories needed.

IT sits at the heart of all business, and in an ever-changing environment, a robust support team is a crucial component to business success. That’s where you come in! As part of the IT team, you’ll play an important role in keeping the company safe from cyber attacks, as well as ensuring our team has the best service when issues arise. We’re a small group, but IT remains fast-paced, and we’re committed to providing efficient and effective support to everyone.

Example projects you might work on:

  • Helping to craft and maintain the onboarding/offboarding process for all new hires. This includes setting up accounts, granting access to SaaS platforms, group access, etc.
  • Laptop builds and imaging. Using software to update existing laptop images, and maintaining all builds on the company cloud.
  • Providing level I-II support for employees, using a variety of remote tools and SaaS platforms to carry out necessary troubleshooting. Including but not limited to, remote connections, internet connectivity, VPN issues, login issues, responding to tickets in a timely manner, and following existing SLAs.
  • Occasional travel into the Chicago office to assist with physical hardware issues/moves. There may be times when IT has to return to the office for on-site issues. Any office visits would be discussed and arranged in advance.

That’s a lot of different areas of responsibility! So you probably won’t be an expert in all of them. A solid fundamental understanding of technology can be built upon, and we want someone who’s ready to learn and build on their skill set to advance further in IT.

About You

  • If you’re enthusiastic about technology, have a willingness to learn, and are good at working through complex computer issues, then you’ll fit right in!
  • A few years of prior experience with Windows, Mac, and Google Workspace will help you hit the ground running in this environment.
  • This position will be mostly remote, though there will be some opportunities to work out of our office in Chicago. Some of the planned projects for 2022 may require occasional on-site work.

  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
