The Role

The Digital Designer will work across multiple client accounts to create impactful visuals and engaging online experiences for brands. We are looking for a well-rounded designer with show stopping digital work, who also has experience outside of the digital realm. We value go-getters who are professionals, well-versed in clear expectation setting and communication, diligent in balancing their workload, and meticulous in organization and execution. At Four Fin, all Fins are encouraged to interface with our clients directly with the confidence to explain their work, ask thoughtful questions, and target solutions toward strategic goals. Fins are team players, rising by lifting, who collaborate with both our internal team and our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Developing flat layouts and prototypes for websites that clearly carry through the brand, map to site goals, and prioritize conversions and engagement
• Designing and developing websites using front-end tools and platforms such as Elementor on Wordpress or Shopify
• Working with our developer partners to achieve high-quality sites and experiences that are inclusive and engaging as well as technically sound
• Strong grasp of design principles and trends, actively learning as needed
• Stepping outside of the web on occasion to design cohesive brand identities, collateral and templates, email newsletters and more
• Strong management of responsibilities: tracking hours, timelines, budgets, multiple projects happening concurrently, prioritization, file cleanliness and overall workflow awareness to ensure that projects are on time and on budget
• Bringing inspiration to the agency and encouraging our collective passion for design
• Competing only with their own best self, teaching what they know to others, and maintaining a posture for growth at all times

Core Competencies

• A clear communicator who exhibits patience and calm under pressure
• Industry standard design software expertise

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Figma, Sketch and/or XD to prototype

• Experience with Wordpress, Shopify, Webflow and/or Squarespace
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS
• Working knowledge of UX principles
• Relationship building through warmth and competence
• A drive to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
• A humble and curious attitude, always learning
• A proactive approach to addressing problems before they arise

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant design experience
• A solid online portfolio
• Strong professional references

• Experience designing for accessibility standards
• Photography or videography skills
• Animation skills
• Experience with copywriting or content strategy
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and developers
