Loopio is looking for a passionate and endlessly curious Senior Software Developer to join our talented Software Engineers in our Content Trust team. You’ll be on a mission to deliver a content platform that will enable proposal teams and SMEs, to build and maintain trustworthy content, to seamlessly complete and win more proposals. If you are a passionate software engineer who always looks at opportunities to improve your mastery, and enjoys working in a fast paced collaborative environment, you will be successful in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Mentor and coach developers on the team, provide technical guidance, and help foster an environment of knowledge-sharing and feedback
  • Collaborate with our Architects, Tech Leads, Team Leads, and Product Managers to identify and propose scalable solutions to business problems
  • Contribute to our technical strategies and support our team in designing and developing the latest version of our customer-facing features
  • Contribute to the transition of our application to a service-based architecture

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Passion for technology and tight collaboration with business and development teams to build winning solutions
  • Strong understanding of testing best practices (Unit, E2E, regression)
  • Strong knowledge of either PHP, Python or Java
  • Working knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Vue, React is preferred
  • Comfortable guiding technical design discussions and facilitating technical decision making
  • A growing passion for driving processes and improving software development productivity for your team
  • Proficient in using and designing RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS such as MySQL
  • Mentorship to other engineers through coaching, design, code reviews
  • Strong knowledge of web technology stacks
  • Experience with agile development using Scrum or Kanban

Where You'll Work

  • Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. We have two Hub Regions, which means that employees live and work within a 300 KM radius of Toronto (within Ontario) or Vancouver (within British Columbia) and work within regular business hours in their timezone.
  • Loopio’s office headquarters are located in Toronto’s vibrant Kensington Market. Ontario Loopers have the option to work in the office (when it’s safe to do so) or from home, whatever works best for you! Loopio does not have a Vancouver office space and BC Loopers will work remotely from home.
  • You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually (we’re just a Zoom call away!) and have established core sync hours and focus time during the workday to enable us to work smarter together

INTERVIEW PROCESS

Software Developer: 3 rounds of interviews ( 25/90/90 mins)

  1. Preliminary Interview - 25 minutes - with Talent Partner
  2. Technical Interview - 90 minute - with 2 members on the Engineering Team.

    Format: You can expect coding exercises (language agnostic) regarding algorithm, system design, and domain-specific questions based on your knowledge and experience. You will also be screen sharing during your coding exercise using the editor of your choice.

  1. Final Interview (Culture and Values) - 90 minutes - with a Engineering Manager and People Partner (HR)
