Gravity Works is looking for a back-end Drupal developer to join our collaborative, communicative team. We are excited to find skilled candidates who enjoy the work they do on the web, and who see value in the impact their work can have.

Gravity Works developers are true polyglots; you will be helping Gravity Works deliver a great experience to our clients. Gravity Works is looking for a backend Drupal developer. Responsibilities will include daily programming tasks such as creating custom modules in PHP, creating Drupal migrations from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9, communication with your project manager, collaborating with coworkers, and testing output. All developers participate in pair programming and code reviews to improve the quality of our output.

Each developer is part of a production team led by a project manager. But we also regularly communicate as a cross-functional development team. We work with a wide range of clients and projects, as a consulting company. Teamwork is critical, but you will need to independently manage your time and tasks.

Gravity Works is a distributed company. We have employees in 7 states. We stay in touch throughout the day with Slack and we use tools like Zoom and Google Meet to handle remote meetings. The back-end team is accustomed to remote communication and teamwork.

To apply for this position, please submit your information through LinkedIn. We'd love to hear from you even if you don't meet 100% of the requirements.

We Provide:

  • A safe, respectful space that advocates for diverse, inclusive skills and perspectives.
  • The opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and challenging projects.
  • Individual and team-wide opportunities for professional development.

All questions will be provided before the interview

  • Two stage interview, with the first interview to get to know your personality and provide you more information about Gravity Works.
  • We will ask questions about projects you have worked on in the past that you have enjoyed.
  • Some technical questions will be asked during the interview, but will be provided before the interview.
  • We do NOT provide a take home test to complete after the interview.

At Gravity Works, we promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion. This is our mission. At work, we advocate for team members with diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We amplify historically underrepresented voices, within our company and in our larger communities. We listen and learn, finding new ways to improve our efforts, and commit ourselves to growth. We welcome candidates who align with these values.
