Empathy. Empowerment. Efficiency.
Redox exists to improve healthcare by uniting patients and providers through easily accessible technology. Technology can dramatically improve healthcare. It helps healthcare organizations become more efficient. It gives patients more control of their healthcare experience. And when done right, technology removes distractions so providers can focus on what’s important: their patients.
Redox is a growing company with the purpose of making healthcare data useful by building reusable infrastructure.
Redox Engineers solve hard, fulfilling problems in health tech while fostering a top-notch working culture, having fun, and respecting each other. We value a desire to learn, adapt, and problem solve to delight our customers.
What’s it like to work on an Engineering team at Redox?:
🎓 Individual Growth and Learning over Immediate Results - Live in your learning zone while work on complex problems and that will stretch you. We believe in taking learning time to develop your craft as a part of the work we do.
🎮 Context over Control - We believe good ideas can come from anywhere and want to empower you with context to do your work with high autonomy and to create an inclusive environment where you participate in broader decision making with your teammates.
🦾 Confidence and Safety over Speed, Speed over Perfection - Work as an empowered developer to implement solutions designed by you or by teammates through the entirety of the SDLC, including testing, code review, deployment, and operationalization.
🤝 Ownership of Outcomes over Neatly-Defined Work - You will participate in on call rotations and shared engineering responsibilities (with support from secondary oncall dev, SMEs, and playbooks!).
🎉 Be Authentic - Connect with teammates and the company through offsite retreats (~2 - 4 a year), for company and team alignment and fun.
🍐 Team Productivity over Individual Productivity - A collaborative work environment, you’ll pair with your teammates daily (we’ve been remote since 2014!) to make progress on projects or solve problems as needed.
In addition to some of the values we shared above, here is more about what you can expect:
💚 To work on new and existing web applications, flexibly moving between frontend code and the supporting backend implementation.
♾️ Our environment embraces DevOps culture and ownership of our team’s systems, both the application and the infrastructure of it.
We are currently growing all of our application teams and creating new ones to pursue new markets. If you’re interested, please read on for requirements and to apply.

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit. https://hbr.org/2014/08/why-women-dont-apply-for-jobs-unless-theyre-100-qualified
Healthcare organizations and technology vendors connect to Redox once, then authorize what data they send to and receive from partners through a centralized hub. Redox's cloud-based platform is vendor and standards agnostic and enables the secure and efficient exchange of healthcare data.
This approach eradicates the need for point-to-point integrations and accelerates the discovery, adoption, and distribution of patient and provider-facing technology solutions. With hundreds of healthcare organizations and technology vendors exchanging data today, Redox represents the largest interoperable network in healthcare. Redox is an EEO company. We fully support the diversity of our team! Here's a recent blog post about our stance on diversity and belonging: Diversity at Redox
As part of our ongoing work to build more diverse teams at Redox, when applying, you will be asked to complete a voluntary EEO survey. This survey is anonymous, we cannot link your application record with your survey responses. - We request that you complete this voluntary survey as we run monthly reports for each team which provides data for diversity in terms of gender and ethnic background in our Applicants, and in our Hired Redoxers. We take this data very seriously, and really appreciate your willingness and time to complete that step in the process.
We believe in holding ourselves to a high standard of conduct. Here's how we think about this: Redox Code of Conduct
Successful candidates must be eligible to be employed in the US, and must reside in the US.
Thank you for your interest in Redox!
Pairing Session (90 min) - meet with the engineers who received your Coding Exercise: share your screen, review the feedback from their time reviewing your code, and collaborate on additional features!

Redoxiness Values (55 min) - values focused interview with behavioral questions based off the values listed on our website
Here at Redox, it doesn’t matter what you look like, where you come from, or what you believe. What matters is your attitude of collaboration. Diversity and inclusivity aren’t just buzz words to us—they’re a celebration of the unique points of view that make us stronger.
Our goal of improving the healthcare experience requires examining solutions from multiple perspectives. Why does that matter? Because at its core, healthcare is incredibly personal and affects people of every background.
As we build our team, we’re intentionally selecting contributors who can help us see the problems and their solutions from all angles. We’re doing this by diversifying our recruiting pipeline, asking questions—and listening to answers organization-wide, maintaining transparency, and making sure everyone feels welcomed and supported. It’s our vision that Redox will be known as an open and inclusive organization that not only attracts but supports and celebrates individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and orientations.
