I’m here to make the hard decisions, get everyone to agree on it, and own the outcome. Product Management is an art form that hinges heavily on relationships. You need to own relationships with customers, cross-functional partners, leadership and you should be expected to deliver. And the best way to do that is to master the art of communication. Master the art of communicating complex problems into plain English, Master the art of communicating bad news, Master the art of communicating to leadership, but most importantly, Master the art of communicating to your team. I have a track record of building a whole bunch of something out of absolutely nothing. At both Aspiration and at Good Money, I was challenged to develop products from scratch and with little direction (except for a non-negotiable timeline). And I did that, not only did I do that, I did that and then some.
