The Center for Computational Genomics and Data Science (CGDS) within the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine works on the cutting edge of medicine to make healthcare accessible and affordable. A multi-disciplinary team of computational biologists, bioinformaticians, computer scientists, and software engineers develop and apply tools and methods to uncover novel research relating to disease biology and precision medicine. We strive to help pediatric and adult patients on their diagnostic odysseys to help find therapeutics to improve their quality of life.
