data.world's 100 year mission is to create the most meaningful, collaborative, and abundant data resource in the world. We host an open, free data community with over a million participants around the world. We use this same technology to help enterprise clients catalog, govern, and collaborate on their data to gain better insights and make better business decisions.
We are data.world, and we know that more diverse companies have more creative and varied discussions that lead to better ideas.
We are the world’s largest collaborative data community and we believe that our people need to represent the diverse nature of the whole community we are serving. We are currently over 50% female and minority, and growing. We are proud early adopters of the Diversity Pledge.
We are very active throughout our communities, doing public speaking promoting the value of diversity, and organizations that are helping build up their minority communities. We volunteer with several diversity-promoting organizations such as DivInc, The 2030 Texas Diversity Challenge, Hispanic Hackers, and Notley Tide, to name a few. Our internal D&I group, The Parliament, includes almost half of our employees, and not only allows a safe space for open discussion, but also identifies programs and opportunities to promote and educate in many ways. We have lunch and learns, book clubs, celebrations and guest speakers, and our inclusivity includes all aspects of diversity.
