GlobalGiving sustains an inclusive workplace by exercising our core values, keeping them at the center of our office culture, and using them to drive our daily work - specifically, two of the four core values, “Always Open” and “Listen, Act, Learn. Repeat.”
We encourage staff to be “Always Open” because we believe great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time. At GlobalGiving, we understand with great ideas and experimentation might come failure. In this process, we don’t focus on the failure but the value of the learnings, data, and feedback as we demonstrate “Listen, Act, Learn. Repeat.”
GlobalGiving’s platform was founded to shed light on key innovations in global development in underrepresented communities. Since 2002 GlobalGiving has connected nonprofits in over 170 countries to donors and companies. While this has been an achievement, we acknowledge we should not focus our work on equity on only our external stakeholders. GlobalGiving has partnered with the talent strategy consulting agency, Building for Mission to support our organization-wide commitment to Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusiveness. The work our leadership team, and staff, continue to do with BfM aims to strengthen our values and our office culture to provide and be a conduit in the professional development of underrepresented folks.
